Baby Brooklynn

Wow, my first family maternity shoot. Sooooo much fun! Which I attribute entirely to the fabulous Dr. Vin and his family. Oh I say Dr. Vin because he’s my chiropractor and he’s awesome. Anywhoo, Dr. Vin, his wife Jenna, their daughter Karly, and soon to be born daughter Brooklynn were super troupers. [...]
Kelly, Sam, and Grey
Had a fun family shoot with Kelly, Sam and their little man Grey. Kelly was inspired by some of my black and white live music photography so we decided to give that style a go with their shoot. I think the scull and crossbones onesie was an excellent outfit choice to accompany the [...]
Meet Madeline and Livia
Aren’t they just adorable! Livia, almost four, is quite the model. And Madeline, oh sooo sweet and curious…also definitely a lover of dogs. This was another super fun shoot with kiddos. I’m really loving photographing all these budding personalities. Thanks so much for the privilege of capturing a moment in their lives.
Lolly and Brad
Lolly and Brad, such a fun and laid back couple! I couldn’t wait to post a few sneak peaks from our quick pre/post ceremony portrait shooting jaunt through the Botanic Gardens. The trouble was, I had such a hard time picking only a few…Lolly and Brad look so fabulous together that editing this shoot is [...]
The Golod Family
Had a blast photographing my good friend Andrea and her family up in Superior. I think my favorite part was screaming “poopy-pants” at the top of my lungs in order to get Jakey ‘Smiles’ Golod to crack one of his signature smiles. It work on Andrea and Dennis too. However, I’m not too sure the [...]
Time Out for Kennedy
Even in a time out Kennedy is just too adorable. I am so weak, couldn’t resist those eyes.
Marianne at 14 Months – Sneak Peak
I had the joy of photographing Miss. Marianne at Cheeseman Park last Sunday. This should have been Marianne’s 1-Year portrait. But due to insane schedules, crazy Colorado weather, and a trip to Tahiti the shoot was pushed a couple months. So, technically it’s Marianne at 14 months. This is a little [...]
Livin’ The Dream In Tahiti with My Mom and My iPhone

I recently got back from a 10 day vacation with my mom in French Polynesia. It had been a lifelong dream of hers to travel there ever since she saw the 1951 film, Bird of Paradise, as a teenager. Since my dad had no desire to spend 10 days in the humidity, I luckily pulled [...]
Passion Pit at the Odgen
What an AWESOME show to watch but it was definitely a challenge to shoot. Probably one of the most difficult shows I’ve photographed.
You can see the full set of images at Reverb.
OR, I’m trying something new on my website, a “Stories” section. It’s a work in progress but, you can also see them here, [...]
My Favorite Photo Subjects
Every once in a while I get asked, what is my favorite thing to photograph. Easy question to answer.. hands down my favorite “thing” to shoot is my family and friends (including the four legged ones). Nose around the blog a bit and you’ll find quite a few posts centered around my family and friends. [...]
Hot Air Balloons
Now that my new portfolios are done (YAY!), I’ve started working a bit more on archiving my catalog of images, which is a pretty daunting task. I already have a few live music sets, a small set of Colorado images, and a small set of Texas images cataloged. I just recently uploaded a batch of [...]
St. Vincent at the Bluebird

This post is a weeee bit late, but I had the pleasure of photographing St. Vincent’s set at the Bluebird last month. AMAZING!! Annie Clark had me in a trance for 90 minutes. It was heaven! Here are a few of my favorites:
You can see the complete set, along with a review by Cassandra Schoon [...]
New Business Cards

My new business cards just arrived via UPS. YAY! I’m very excited! If you haven’t stopped by the blog in a while, you’ll notice that it looks completely different along with my portfolio site. Big thanks to Kelly Faigin and Sam Mobley! Also, Lettracraft printing, great to work with.
A couple more things to do and [...]
Jeremy Facknitz, The Charlie Milo Trio, Mark’s Midnight Carnival Show, Leftmore @ the Black Sheep

Last Thursday I had the opportunity to check out some local Colorado Springs music at the Black Sheep while shooting for the Denver Post Reverb. I’m far from a music critic, but if you live in the Springs you should definitely go check all these guys out, they put on a great show. [...]
Flyleaf @ The Fox
I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect going into the Fox Theatre. Flyleaf is a Christian rock band and I am an agnostic lesbian. My experience living in Colorado Springs for over 17 years is that those two wouldn’t seem to mix very well, so I felt a little uneasy walking through the doors of [...]
State Radio, Elephant Revival at the Black Sheep

Wednesday was another great night of live music at the Black Sheep in Colorado Springs.
I was extremely happy to be shooting State Radio for the Denver Post Reverb Music Blog. First, because State Radio is awesome and I was so happy they decided to make Colorado Springs a stop on their current tour. If you’re [...]
Marianne

I don’t have the opportunity shoot a lot of baby/family portraiture due to the fact that my travel schedule can sometimes be unpredictable. However, I was recently fortunate to schedule a few hours for a good friend. I think I may have to carve out more time for it, I quite enjoy photographing kids.
Summer of Snapshots – Instax

One of the things I decided to do this summer was to take some of the thinking out of my photography, just to give myself a little break and have a little fun. So I thought I give the Fuji Instax a try. I love the camera! And there just something magical about watching your [...]
I Heart Jesse Harris

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing the Joshua Radin set at the Black Sheep for Reverb. Opening for him, were Meiko and Jesse Harris. I am soooo glad I went early enough to catch Jesse Harris. His music is absolutely beautiful. And Bill Dobrow on percussion was fabulous. [...]
We The Kings at The Black Sheep

Shot my first show for the Denver Post Music Blog, Reverb last week. Sold out We The Kings at the Black Sheep in Colorado Springs. You can check it out here.
Tegan and Sara, Paramount Theater
