17 Dec My Mom Had Surgery

In October my mom had surgery to repair a tear in her rotator cuff. I was pretty nervous about it, so what did I do, took photos of course. The surgery itself went fine. Her doctor and all the people in the surgical area were great. Super nice and they seemed to take good care of her. She checked in to the hospital at 6am had the surgery at 7:30 was out of the OR by around 10 and discharged by 11:30am. Which I thought was a little odd, a 67 year old woman with a history of high blood pressure and heard disease would being discharged so soon after having surgery. (more…)

04 Dec From the Outside

Yesterday I submitted a collection of 12 images to an art gallery to be considered for their 2009 Portfolio Showcase. It’s the first time I’ve ventured into the “art” arena and I’m a little nervous about it. I’ve never thought of myself as an artist. 19 Oct Things I Love in Seattle – Part I

The Olympic Sculpture Park is one of my favorite spots in Seattle and for me it’s hands down the best place in to sit and enjoy the sunset. Whenever I shoot there, I always take a few minutes for myself to sit and enjoy the moment. The park itself represents one of the things I love about Seattle: valuing green space and creating a balance between nature and big-city concrete and steel. (more…)
